Thermal Flow Meter

A Thermal Flow Meter (Gas Flow Meter) is a highly accurate device designed to measure gas mass flow based on the principle of thermal dispersion. It determines flow rate by sensing the cooling effect of gas passing over a heated sensor. Ideal for smart factory environments, it provides precise low-flow measurement and supports efficient energy management.

OVERVIEW

The Thermal Gas Flow Meter offers direct mass flow measurement without requiring pressure or temperature compensation. It features no moving parts, ensuring low maintenance and long-term stability. With fast response time and high sensitivity, it is suitable for monitoring compressed air, industrial gases, and energy systems. It integrates easily with IoT-based smart factory monitoring platforms for real-time data analysis.

Working Principle

The meter operates by heating a sensor placed in the gas stream. As gas flows past the heated sensor, it absorbs heat and cools the sensor. The amount of heat loss is directly proportional to the mass flow rate of the gas. The internal electronics measure this temperature difference and convert it into an accurate flow signal for display or transmission to control systems.

Industrial Gas Flow Measurement

A thermal flow meter for gas is an advanced instrument designed to measure the mass flow rate of gases directly within industrial pipelines. It operates on the thermal dispersion principle, where a heated sensor measures the cooling effect caused by the moving gas. The rate of heat loss is proportional to the gas mass flow, allowing accurate and stable measurement without requiring additional pressure or temperature compensation in many applications.
